Programme Note
Cast in three movements, this work is suitable for intermediate string players. The first movement plays on antiphony between the solo group and the orchestra and is followed by a gamelan-influenced middle movement. The last movement is fast, more substantial finale, again exploiting dialogue between tutti and soloists.
